The minimum age requirement for hatchet and axe throwing at Stumpy’s Hatchet House Fall River is is 18 except for Fridays & Saturdays after 5PM when we go full throttle 21+ ONLY>

We do host host LumberJack Jr. sessions for ages 10 thru 17 and their parents/guardians every Sunday. These events are alcohol free so parents please leave your beers at home!

HOW DOES PLAYING START?

After about 15-20 minutes of training, most guests are hitting the target and honing in on the bullseye. When the group feels ready, it is encouraged to try a variety of hatchet and axe throwing target games. Game instructions are in the pit, or you can ask a throwing coach. Want a head start on things? Check out the games here!

Yes! We sell light snacks such as chips, candy, etc. We also have soft drinks, water, iced tea, and Red Bull available for sale. Stumpy’s Hatchet House Fall River is BYOB – beer, wine, hard seltzers & ciders only – and we have buckets of ice to keep ’em cold for you.  For your safety please DO NOT bring in any hard liquor (ya’ all can live an hour or 2 without it).

IS THERE A SPECIAL PRICE FOR LARGE GROUPS?

For groups larger than 20, we offer a 3-hour throwing session for $65 per thrower during our regular hours of operation. We find that larger groups need some extra time to throw, socialize, eat and have their drinks. These parties need to be booked by calling us or submitting an event inquiry through this site.

If 3-hours seems too long, you are welcome to schedule a regular 2-hour throwing session for $42.50 per thrower.

DO YOU TAKE WALK-INS?

Though we will try to accommodate walk-ins whenever possible, it is not something we recommend. We’d hate for you to drive here just to be turned away!

Due to the popularity of Stumpy’s, we are normally pretty booked with reservations, especially on the weekends! Our reservation system lists all available times for each day. If no times are listed, give us a call and we take a peak and see if something can be arranged (sometimes it just means we need to break up a 2-hour session or merge 2 one hours). Or, take your chances and drop by!  If we do have slots available, we’d be happy to bring you in!

CAN PEOPLE COME WATCH?

Of course! Non-throwers are allowed to come join the social throwdown, though we will ask them to pay $15 plus tax. With that being said, the rule still applies that all Stumpy’s guests must still meet the minimum age requirements of 18 & must sign our waiver, whether they are throwing or not
